Headies 2023:Black Sherif,Rema, Asake, Arya Starr, odas win big.

The 2023 Headies unfolded its 16th edition with an air of anticipation and excitement. Founded back in 2006 by Hip Hop World Magazine, these awards have been a cherished platform for recognizing the exceptional musical talents of Nigerian artists.

This year, the grand ceremony took place at the Cobb Energy Center in Atlanta, US, on September 3rd, marking the second consecutive year it ventured beyond Nigerian shores. The stage was set to honor remarkable works spanning from January 2022 to March 2023, with over 30 categories waiting to embrace the deserving winners.

Amidst the glitter and glamour of the night, two shining stars emerged as the biggest winners – Rema and Burna Boy, each gracefully accepting three prestigious awards.

Asake, who had recently conquered the mighty 20,000-capacity O2 Arena in London, garnered two accolades, including the highly sought-after Album of the Year Award for “Mr. Money With the Vibe.” The musical prowess extended its reach as rapper Odumodublvck and singer Victony also clinched two awards each, etching their names into the annals of the Headies’ history.
