Pornhub has faced a ban in the country of Russia in the past.
The false posts were shared on multiple social media platforms, including Facebook and Twitter.
However, several fact-checkers have verified that they are completely false.
False tweet depicting a ban on Pornhub in Russia Publications like Logically and Snopes have verified that other than the social media posts, there is not a single evidence of the claim.
The fact-checkers could then pose on the network as if they were Russia, and check if the website opened for them or not.
Russia is facing an increasing amount of sanctions from countries and organisations around the globe, following its attack on Ukraine late last month that has escalated into a potential world war.
